We bought a new embroidery machine. That doesn't mean The Printshoppe is out of the picture, we mainly bought it to do first runs, and test out ideas. We need the Printshoppe and Utica Sewing Inc to do large runs.
Right now our Brother SE 1900 is the best cost-effective way to work with our start-up baby blanket and accessories online store.
We also will be making 25 books by hand, using limited edition art prints. So those are very limited, we will let you all know when they are available.
The next machine we want to buy is the SailRite basic LSZ-1 industrial sewing machine, mainly because it's made right here in the U.S.A, and also because we want to be able to work out our baby accessories and books before we do the larger runs and be better able to articulate (with both machines) how we want the product sewn and things like that.
These blankets will be constructed mainly with straight stitches and zigzag stitches, but I learnt we have to be pretty specific about those details. It's been so far very exhilarating because of all the support we are getting from the community. That to me is the most important aspect of this.
And I am blessed to be in a community where we can test the product on our members who are having babies. So wonderful.
